This qualification is intended for learners currently employed, or wishing to be employed, in a childcare setting including nursery nurses, pre-school teachers, teaching assistants and student teachers.
Learners develop the skills, knowledge and understanding needed to deal with emergency situations involving children and infants, including resuscitation procedures and childhood medical conditions.
During this course, learners will cover the key knowledge and practical skills required for the qualification.
Assessment is completed through required course assessment activities, including practical paediatric first aid skills.
Successful learners receive a regulated Paediatric First Aid qualification. The qualification is regulated by Ofqual in England.
