This course gives learners the practical knowledge needed to respond to an unresponsive casualty, perform CPR and use an AED safely. It is suitable for workplaces, leisure settings, community groups and people who want to improve their emergency response skills.
The course focuses on adult basic life support, casualty care and confident use of AED equipment during a cardiac emergency.
During this course, learners will cover the key knowledge and practical skills required for the qualification.
Assessment is completed through practical activities and trainer observation, with learners required to demonstrate the skills covered during the course.
Successful learners receive a Basic Life Support and AED certificate. The certificate is valid for 2 years.

The course is approximately 4 guided learning hours.
